Mr. Sergey Popravko, the Managing Director of Unicom and COO of Sovcomflot gave a speech and presentation about the effect of the “bad image label” on the shipping industry at the 2nd International Ship Management Summit which was held on the 30th June and 1st July in Limassol, Cyprus.
Top Shipowners, Ship Managers and Industry Leaders met at the conference to exchange views and information and tackle the industries problem to improve its image and inform the public about its environmental achievements and much improved seafarers conditions.
At the conference it was decided to launch a new global forum of maritime leaders to tackle the publicity of shipping in a professional approach. The forum will be meeting in London shortly.
