Platts, the leading global provider of energy and metals information hasawarded Russia's state owned shipping company, Sovcomflot as 'Energy Transporter of the Year'. Platts Global Energy Awards, established in 1999, recognise the outstanding achievement in the energy industry. Awards are presented to top performers in categories including corporate achievements, individual efforts, innovation, integrity and entrepreneurial talent. On 29 November 2007, the 9th Global Energy Awards held in New York city, hosted over 500 top executives from more than a dozen countries.
